Reviews
This was more than a bargain, and I would have gladly paid five times more once I received this wonderful book. The articles and essays-most of which were written and published during Monet's lifetime-offer a unique perspective on Monet and his art as they were viewed at that time. The beautiful color plates reproduce nearly all of Monet's greatest and/or most famous paintings. They are all here: "The Magpie"; "The Terrace at St. Adresse"; haystacks; poplar trees; the Seine; Rouen Cathedral; waterlilies; and three-page foldouts of several of the murals in the Orangerie. A Monet- or art-lover's dream!
